As a preschool teacher for almost 30 years, Maryanne loves teaching now as much as when she first began her career. After completing her teaching certificate at Queen’s University and her Primary Specialist Certificate at Toronto Teachers College, Maryanne began her career teaching preschool for 15 years in Lakeview before moving to Calgary with her husband. Now, with three grown daughters and four grandchildren, Maryanne feels blessed to have been a part of the teaching team at Learning Adventures for 20 years. Not only does she love working with little children, but enjoys watching them grow and develop at this young age. When she is not at the school, Maryanne enjoys travelling, spending time with friends, walking, aqua-fit, reading and doing Sudoku.
Jordynn has her Bachelors Degree in Child Studies from Mount Royal University and a passion for working with children that sparked at a very young age. Some fun facts about her are that she has a dog named Gouda, loves being outdoors, especially around water, and she loves puzzles. She loves learnig and growing with the curious minds at Learning Adventures!
It is her fourth year with the preschool program as a part-time aide, and she finds teaching preschool children exciting. Not only does Andrea love working with the kids, but she enjoys watching them grow and develop new friends, skills, and confidence. When she is not in school, Andrea enjoys camping, hiking and spending time outside with her family and friends.
She is a preschool teachers assistant at Learning Adventures! She graduated from Trinity Western University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She has spent much of her time as a stay at home mom raising her three children. Now that they are growing up, she loves to work with the preschool students. In her spare time she loves to be with her family and friends in the outdoors, hikinh, skiing, thrifting and relaxing at the coffee shop.
As a learning Assistant for over 17 years, Susan is excited to teach the three-year-old class. She feels honoured to work with young children because they have so much to teach us about living in the moment and how to be Christ-like in everything we do. Little people know how to live, love, and laugh which Susan truly embraces every day. When she is not working with children in the classroom, Susan enjoys running and spending time with her family and friends.
Holding her Bachelor of Education, Susan has taught in all levels of education and realizes how important early education is. At Learning Adventures Preschool for over ten years, Susan still enjoys the incredible blessing that comes with this age group. She loves working with children and providing meaningful, dynamic educational programming to stimulate their young minds. A native Calgarian, Susan and her husband have two grown children of their own. When she isn’t working, Susan enjoys golfing, walking the family dog, and spending time with friends and family.
